AMA strives to keep an adequate balance of fun and professional through weekly meetings and social events. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Best Buddies serves individuals with IDD and their families. The IDD community includes, but is not limited to, people with Down syndrome, autism, Fragile X, Williams syndrome, and other undiagnosed disabilities.

Carroll University Big Brothers Big Sisters is a student organization on campus that is affiliated with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Milwaukee. As an organization, we support and help students interested in becoming mentors for elementary-aged children. As a mentor, you will meet with a "Little" weekly at a local Waukesha Elementary school. We also welcome students who just want to support the organization as a whole without making an individual commitment. We participate in several volunteer activities and host different events throughout the year to involve both the "Bigs" and their "Littles".

This organization seeks to provide opportunities for students who are interested in the care, training and support of service dogs and service dogs in training. PioPuppies will be a vital resource for the campus and community regarding basic and advanced dog training, the support a service dog provides, and overall information about and support of all service dog training organizations connected to the university. In addition the club will coordinate and oversee opportunities for students to raise puppies for service dog training organizations with established partnerships with Carroll University. In order to make sure our information is as accurate and practical as possible, educational materials will be developed based on that provided by the service dog training organizations supplying us with their puppies, certified trainers, and credentialed professionals within the field. Animal training is a major career choice for many animal behavior students at Carroll University and a passion for students throughout the university. This club will offer experience in training techniques, a competitive edge in future career paths, as well as a better understanding of the world of service dogs.

- Networking and shadowing opportunities
- Chances to volunteer at medical facilities around the Waukesha and Milwaukee area
- Visits to medical and graduate schools, such as the Medical College of Wisconsin

Through campus-wide events and volunteering, SALUD aims to demonstrate that culture is not secondary to language, to learn how to adapt to working with patients of another culture, and to expose students to cultural norms that differ between cultures (such as ways to show respect) and to provide on- and off-campus opportunities for students interested in both Spanish and the Health Sciences to use their language skills, interact with Hispanics in the community and connect with professionals in the field.

Carroll University's new interdisciplinary program offers students who are interested in Spanish and the Health Sciences an opportunity to prepare themselves for careers in a high-demand field.

According to a recent Wisconsin Registered Nurse Survey Report, only 11% of Wisconsin nurses spoke Spanish in 2012. As Hispanic populations in the United States continue to grow, the need for more bilingual health care providers is growing faster than ever.

In the SALUD program, Spanish and the Health Sciences are combined in coursework, cultural events, community service opportunities, a student organization and specialized international travel programs.

At the Walter Young Counseling Center, we are proud to provide inclusive mental health services and programs to the Carroll community and to support Carroll University's efforts toward equity, justice, and liberation. We recognize that every individual comes to counseling with a different history and a lifetime of unique experiences, and we seek to honor that by creating a treatment plan that is individualized for each student. We are dedicated to providing culturally sensitive counseling services to the students at Carroll University, and to creating a safe space where all students feel welcome and accepted.

University life can be exciting, although some experiences may be difficult to handle. The licensed professional therapists at the Walter Young Counseling Center are available to help students sort through these challenges. Services are available to help students gain insight and learn healthier ways of coping with the stress of college life. All services are free for currently enrolled Carroll students and completely confidential.
