Join us for an inspiring Alumnae Leadership Luncheon featuring Ann Laatsch, J.D. ’88. This special annual gathering is a chance to reconnect, network, and celebrate the accomplishments of women in our community. RSVP by July 31, 2026!
Ann, a member of Carroll’s Board of Trustees and Chair of the Alumni Council, will share her journey in her upcoming talk, “Stewardship: Leading with What We’ve Been Given.” Her perspective offers meaningful insights on leadership, service, and making the most of the opportunities entrusted to us.
Come celebrate Ann’s achievements and gain valuable inspiration from her experience. We look forward to seeing you there!
Ann Laatsch, J.D. '88 is the Justice System Coordinator for the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life. As staff attorney, she leads national efforts to strengthen justice system responses to the abuse of older adults.
Across her career, Ann's work has centered on people and issues that are often unseen: older adults experiencing abuse, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, people with disabilities and low-income families navigating housing, public benefits and healthcare. Her work has moved outward over time — from representing individual clients, to training the professionals who serve them, to shaping the systems and policies those professionals work within. The training programs, curricula and resources she has built are now used by law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, civil attorneys and victim advocates across the country — much of it designed to be evergreen, utilized and carried forward by the next generation of elder justice advocates.
A graduate of Carroll University and the University of Wisconsin Law School, Ann serves on Carroll's Board of Trustees and chairs the Alumni Council. Her family's presence at Carroll spans more than a century, starting with her great-grandfather, William Arthur Ganfield, the university's president from 1921 to 1939. All four of Laatsch’s grandparents, three great-aunts and a great-uncle are alumni, as are her father, William Ganfield Laatsch '60, brother, David '95 and other family members.
She lives in Shorewood, Wisconsin.
